IRI PARTICIPATES IN THE 2007 APSHO WASTE EXCHANGE EVENT HELD AT CPIP

IRI joined the 2007 Association of Pollution Control, Safety and Health Officers of the Philippines, Inc. (APSHO) Waste Exchange Event with the theme “THE POWER OF RECOVERY” held at the Calamba Premiere International Park (CPIP) last December 7, 2007. Several environmental service providers and concerned Government agencies participated in this worthwhile event. Ms. Loida Humarang of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) gave the inspirational message to formally open the activities.

Aside from the waste collection event, other activities in this whole-day affair were as follows:

  - Used Oil Recycling – Gulf Oil Recycling
  - Ink Cartridges Recycling – YGARC Trading Co.
  - Busted Fluorescent Lamps Treatment – JORM Trading Corporation
   
• Poster Making Contest

• Proper Waste Segregation Seminars
  - Facilitator: Samsung Electro-Mechanics Phils., Corp.
  - Participants: Barandal elementary students
